Each 5ml dose of SummitMax Equine contains a 200mg Chondroitin 4-Sulfate sterile solution, and 2mg benzyl alcohol as preservative.
How to use

Always begin with a Starter Series (1 vial every 4 days).
After Starter Series is completed, maintain by administering one vial every other week OR weekly (for the support of horses with increased training, recovery, or performance demands).
Store in a cool, dry place.
This product is intended for intramuscular (IM) use only. Disposable syringe with needle is included with each vial.

What is the Loading Series protocol for SummitMax Equine?

Your horse will start with one IM (intra-muscular) injection every four days for four doses (16 days) for the Loading Series.
What is the maintenance protocol?

After the Loading Series is completed, maintain by administering one vial every other week OR weekly for the support of animals with increased training, recovery, or performance demands.
Are there any negative side effects?

As with any injection, there is always a slight risk of an injection site reaction. The occurrences of an injection site reaction with Summit has been less than 1 in 10,000. It has not however been tested in pregnant animals.
Is SummitMax safe for pregnant animals?

SummitMax has not been tested in pregnant animals, however, C4S is a naturally occurring substance in the body. As always, it is advised that you consult with your veterinarian before use.
What are the differences between SummitMax Equine, Canine and Flex?

SummitMax Equine 5ml (200mg of C4S) is for any size horse or large sized mammals. SummitMax Flex 1ml (100mg of C4S) is for large breed dogs exceeding 100lbs and can also be used on mini horses and mid-sized mammals. SummitMax Canine 1ml (80mg C4S) is for canines up to 100lbs.
Can SummitMax be given with other medications and/or supplements?

The product is naturally derived and due to C4S naturally occurring in the body there are no contraindications or negative effects with Summit and any other supplements, drugs, or conditions. However, it is advised by our veterinarian to wait one week after giving Oshpos before your next dose of SummitMax.
Do I administer the whole vial?

Yes. Each vial is a single dose. To ensure sterility, we do not make multi-dose vials of the SummitMax products.
What can SummitMax be used for?

Impacts comfort, athletic performance, mobility, flexibility, recovery, circulation, stamina, and joint health. If a horse has a chip in a joint, typically surgery is needed. Please consult your veterinarian.
Can I give the SummitMax equine product to my dog?

Dosing your dog 5ml of the SummitMax Equine solution could be painful. SummitMax Equine is formulated for horses and the concentration of C4S is different in the Equine and Canine products. The Equine product is 5ml and contains 200mg of C4S. While our SummitMax Canine product is 1ml and contains 80mg of C4S.
Tell me about safety testing for SummitMax.

SummitMax is made in a sterile lab that meets the strictest requirements
for product safety. Each batch is tested for sterility by an independent 3rd
party Testing Facility. Each batch has a unique identification number stamped
on the bottom of the vial. These independent lab tests are available for you
and your vet to review. To receive the lab tests for your batch, please email
info@eternapure.com with the batch number off the vial and we will email the
testing results to you. You can count on Summit Animal Health to protect
your animals as if they were our own.
